When do I involve website professionals?
When you’re at a stage where you want to attract more work it may be time to involve a professional. They can build a website based on a structured marketing plan designed around who you are as a business, your brand and what you do – but this is a costly process.
This workshop is a great resource for anyone wanting to decide which method works best for their business.
Where can I find a website coach or have our website evaluated?
To find out more, you can book a one-on-one session with our Digital Marketing Specialist, Jerry Hoekman, for coaching advice, to discuss progress, ask questions and get instructions on how best to proceed.
You can also request a full evaluation of your new or existing website. In the evaluation we will give feedback on design, navigation, user-friendliness, SEO and sales effectiveness. If you're able to come to the workshop, participants will receive a free website evaluation as a gift.

Email providers start with a free level of membership. For example, Mailchimp enables you to send emails to up to 2,000 contacts for free when you start out. Once your audience grows past 2,000, there are different levels of membership.
However, the largest saving you make is in time. Once you have designed your email newsletter, you can simply duplicate and update it each time you send your database an email.
3. It keeps you visible to your audience
Email marketing is the perfect remarketing tool for people who visit your website or social media account but decide not to buy anything. Your marketing email will keep your product or service in front of mind, even if they do not need it (yet). The moment that need arises for one of your email recipients, they will go into their inbox to find your latest email and contact you.
4. It's personal
Email marketing programs allow you to automate details such as adding client’s names into emails and sending them a personalised birthday card.
This functionality can be used to interact with your database further. For example, you could ask people who read your emails questions, and give them options that will automatically change the content of the next email they will receive. This tailors your marketing emails to subjects and content that your recipients prefer.
5. It's measurable
Email marketing tracks your recipients’ behaviour. It will tell you how many people (and who) opened the email, and how many clicked on a link and went to your website.
This can help you to understand which type of article is more effective in attracting new leads, what is the best time to send people the next email, and in some cases what each recipient is interested in on your website.
There are many more advantages to email marketing. However, the success of your email marketing depends on the quality and customer-focused message you sent them. Writing a marketing email needs to be done carefully, to make sure your audience is motivated to open it and does not unsubscribe from your mailing list. I will go deeper into this in my next article.

Job Keeper has been a lifeline for businesses able to receive it. This is a short-term reprieve, a pause if you like as it gives businesses the opportunity to take stock of their business model and current operations to see whether adapting or pivoting is possible. There is no guarantee that Job Keeper payments can or will be extended beyond the end of September 2020.
Cautious optimism is warranted moving forward, as border and business restrictions and closures could take place again if new cases of COVID-19 in the state are found. These are listed below (not in any particular order):

Jet Star’s inaugural flight into Busselton Margaret River airport is scheduled for March 25th, 2020.
The City of Busselton has worked very hard over some years to secure an alliance with an airline and finally it is here! The signing on of this route demonstrates Jet Star’s strong belief in the region, as it is the first time in 20 years that a new route has been added by the airline. As a result, there is an expected forecast of 60,000 visitors into the region over the next three years.
This is very exciting for the South West, and a fantastic opportunity for retailers and small businesses in the tourism industry to showcase products and services, and really act as ambassadors for the region. While it is obvious that the Busselton–Margaret River corridor will directly benefit from the three scheduled flights per week, towns within a few hours drive will also benefit.
If you are a small business in Busselton-Margaret River or surrounding areas, there are a few things you can do right now to get tourist ready and handle the expected volume of visitors:
